21st century is the world of social media. It has provided us ample space and freedom to come out of our boundaries. It has given us “Medium” to express, convey and show our commitments. It has connected us beyond borders.

Surprisingly, the more we are connected in the outer world, the less we are in our inner world. Our minds are filled with fear, trauma and desperation of being left out. We are unable to live peacefully inside ourselves. COVID-19 era gave a reality check to this century. We were exposed to inner vulnerabilities not in terms of lesser immunity but in terms of lesser emotional strength. It uncovered the hypocrisy of mankind about being strong and independent.

This mental mess has made humans pathetic. This is the reason why many of us are scared to spend time by ourselves. We seek family, friends or social media to divert our mind. We are afraid celebrate our birthday alone. Additionally, we don’t know how to celebrate the loneliness. We don’t know the happiness of being alone.

Do you know why I am emphasising on this so much? Celebrating your birthday alone can be rejuvenating. You become free from public validation and find inner peace. You get the time to rewire your energies. You become emotionally strong and confident. Not only this, you become independent from all the dependencies of your life.

So, if you have ever tried doing this, I congratulate you my dear friend. You can fight any battle alone. If you haven’t, I request to atleast try this for once in your life. If you are alone for your birthday, please don’t just sit and sulk about your problems. Get out, shop , play, sing, dance and eat whatever you like. Try blowing your candles and cutting your cake in your cozy couch.

Appreciate the life you have. You will be liberated.
